We have always known Apple to be our favorite tech giant for making iPhones, Macs, MacBooks and what not. This time around Apple has taken a different direction and gone to support a different cause. Apple is selling a new flashy red smart battery case for its iPhone 7. In a turn of events, the company that generates one of the highest profits in the world has gone for something new.

Last year the same battery case was launched with iPhone 6s. The new one has a larger capacity than the older version of it. The hump of the battery pack, to one’s amazement is quite ergonomic. Yes! Apple sells finished complete products and we are big fans of it.

On every purchase of the $99 battery pack, Apple will donate a part of it to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS. This has been going on for some time and Apple has already donated a lot of chunk towards it, and by a huge chunk we mean $120 million. The Apple product RED is available on all of its retails stores as well as online.

Tim Cook has said that the gift of life is the most important gift on can give to someone. He went on to say that we want to leave the world a better place for the new generation and it is not long before we have a new generation completely AIDS free.

RED has already made significant efforts in the sub-Saharan Africa, where AIDS affected people are in the densest amount.

Apple is taking on AIDS this year by offering people to lend a helping hand by playing games, buying their RED initiative products or listening to an exclusive holiday album by The Killers. There will be games on the app store that will have exclusive RED content, so when you download them, or make an in app purchase, a part of the money earned would go to RED.
