A big new phone was just announced by Xiaomi and there has been a lot of hype around it. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes in a big package with a big battery. It is there to conquer the midrange phablet category with its enormous screen size of 6.44 inches. The phone has slim bezels, which is a big plus as compared to Xperia XA Ultra.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 packs a massive 5300mAh battery which is good enough to last you two days on a single charge. Mi Max 2 has a 6.44 inch LCD display which has a resolution of 1920×1080 FHD. The screen size is very big for a phone and this unusual screen size was first introduced in Xperia Z Ultra. Although Xperia Z Ultra was very bulky but the Mi Max 2 is designed well and fits fine in the hand relatively. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor which is clocked at 2.0 GHz. The decent processor is coupled with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable through a microSD slot.

Mi Max 2 has a much better design as compared to its predecessor due to the aluminum chassis. There is a 12MP camera at the rear which is a Sony IMX 386 sensor. The pixel size it captures is 1.25-micron. The camera has an aperture of f/2.2. The front camera is a 5MP snapper, which is decent enough. The phone has Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and an IR blaster. The phone has Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, which charges the phone from zero to 68% in an hour.

The phone will be available around July 27. Xiaomi has been known for its aggressive pricing which cuts the competition by a reasonable margin.
