312

Nokia has just made its biggest announcement ever. Nokia has announced the Nokia 8 Android smartphone, which is the most powerful flagship phone by Nokia in years. Nokia 8 has all what it takes and more to be the best Android out there competing with the likes of Galaxy S8, Xperia XZ Premium, Huawei P10 and LG G6.

Nokia has added a slew of new features that set it apart from rest of the flagships. Nokia has included its ever so wonderful Carl Zeiss optics in the camera. Nokia’s cameras have always been one of the best in the industry due to their exceptional optics technology. This time around Nokia has added two cameras at the rear. The cameras capture at a resolution of 13MP which is 1MP more than the iPhone 7 Plus and Galaxy S8.

There are two cameras, one is monochrome and the other one is a color capturing lens. Together they fuse both images into one which gives an excellent contrast in pictures that you take. The advanced image fusion also helps you take excellent pictures in all conditions. The camera also has a ‘Live Bokeh’ effect on board which can provide artificial blur to images in order to make your subject of focus pop just like a DSLR camera. Nokia has also implemented another feature which is called the “bothie”. A bothie takes pictures from the front camera and the rear camera. It then merges them into one image. This can also be used for video recording and can be used to live stream on YouTube and Facebook. According to Nokia, this is a new chapter in storytelling. The camera also features OIS and Laser autofocus for extreme precision. The camera has a decent aperture size of f/2.0. Selfie camera on board is another 13MP monster with phase detection autofocus.

OZO is Nokia’s camera division which helped develop a sound recording technology for the phone as well. The phone is able to record 360 degree spatial sound which would further enrich the 4K recording of the phone.

The phone has a QHD display on board and an always on function for the screen which will help you get notifications even when your phone on standby. The screen will have a maximum of 700nits of brightness. This is one of the brightest displays in the world. The screen measures at 5.3 inches which is a decent size.

The phone comes in two flavors, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and the other one with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone has the flagship processor of the year which is Snapdragon 835. The phone is IP54 certified.

The phone will be priced at 600 euros at launch. We really think Nokia has outdone itself this time around with such a worthy flagship phone. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
