Sony is planning to launch a new flagship phone later this year. The 2 flagship cycle model seems to have taken off for Sony. There will be a new phone on the block and it might just have all the right ingredients to make it a great phone and beat the current king of Androids which is the Galaxy S8. The new Xperia XZ1 has popped up on GeekBench.
Xperia XZ1 will come with Snapdragon 835 processor which will be fine-tuned to beat the competition. The phone will come with a 4GB RAM which should be enough for day-to-day tasks. We shall guide you here that more RAM is useful if the phone has a resource hungry UI running on top of stock Android like the TouchWIz in Samsung phones but in cases such as of Sony, which has minimal changes to stock Android, 4GB RAM is more than enough. A phone should be running smoothly and that should be the objective. Having more RAM and a QHD screen only drains the phone’s battery. FHD display (1080 x 1920) provides more pixels per inch than a retina display for screens under 6.4 inches. Anything above that is an overkill. A naked eye cannot detect pixels above the density of 326 ppi, hence iPhone’s display has been so successful for so many years.
Xperia XZ1 will come with the state-of-the-art rear camera which will be of 19MP resolution. The camera will have that sweet 960 fps slow-mo recording. Normally the maximum slow motion recording on any mobile phone has been at 240 fps max. The front facing snapper will be of 8MP and will have excellent low light photography tech. The phone will be running Android 7.1.1 out-of-the-box.
We really hope Sony trims down the bezels as now a days every phone that we see has minimal bezels. Sony has been a pioneer in introducing new technology in phones alongside Samsung and Apple. Sony builds sturdy and stylish phones and this time would be no exception. A new design is much awaited by Sony because they have never seized to impress us with their phones.
