Sony has long been trying hard to seem relatable in the smartphone arena but somehow the marketing efforts have let them down. This doesn’t mean that they were bad but simply, their efforts to push smartphones wasn’t enough as compared to the competitors. Sony however has built some great phones whose technology has been replicated across the industry even by Apple and Samsung.

In the recent benchmarks Xperia XA2 was just spotted. The salient feature of Xperia XA series is the bezel-less design from the sides with a huge screen and a great selfie camera. Sony is expected to cut down the ugly top and bottom bezels to make the phone feel more afresh and 2017.

The phone is expected to be announced in Catalonia’s Mobile World Congress which is being held next month. This has been a trend in the past where Sony announces a few of its mid-range devices at Catalonia’s Mobile World Congress.

According to the benchmarks, Xperia XA2 has a 6 inches Full HD screen. The phone will be carrying an octa-core processor which is the Snapdragon 630. Sony will be switching from Helio to Snapdragon processors this year for this mid-range series.

Xperia XA2 will come with Android Oreo 8.0 out-of-the-box. There will be a 23MP camera at the rear which will have 4K recording capabilities. The front facing camera will be an 16MP unit. The phone will come with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which will be expandable via microSD.
