Facebook World Effects | Snapchat Just Got One Upped

Facebook has been making strides when it comes to bringing new features to its messenger. Previously, Facebook just used to copy Snapchat’s features in order to stay relevant. This time around they have one-upped their arch rivals.

Facebook messenger has just introduced a new feature that lets you add objects to photos and videos. You can send these videos and photos to your friends or post them on Facebook. The objects are really intelligent and can stick to an augmented plane. The objects can also follow defined paths. This is astonishing as the objects are dynamic in nature.

The features are really intuitive and as the company says, “We’re launching a handful of World Effects to people around the world. In addition to the heart, arrow and robot, you can also try playing around with a unicorn plus word bubbles, like “love,” “bae,” “heart” and “miss you.” To add a World Effect, open the Messenger Camera (from your inbox or from inside an existing conversation by tapping the camera icon), and then scroll to choose from the camera effects. Pick an effect and then tap to add it to your image.”

The objects are currently not available for all the users yet but will be soon rolled out. For now there are only a few world objects present. Facebook says they will be launching more in the near future. Let us know what you guys think.
