Xiaomi or Apple of China as it is called, has just launched two new phones, the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Both phones have FullView displays and mammoth batteries to compete with the best of 2017. As the year ends, we say goodbye to old design language with huge bezels and small batteries which forced every family member to have his or her own power bank.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 is a very sleek device and has a 5.7 inch screen with 18:9 ratio. Display is crisp with FHD+ resolution. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 450 processor. Snapdragon 450 is built on the 14nm technology which helps u save battery as compared to other mid-rangers. Redmi 5 comes in two versions. One with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and the other one with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and the interface is the all new MIUI 9, which is more stable than before and comes with new features like the intelligent assistant and picture-in-picture.
There are two cameras on board. The 12MP module is placed at the rear and on the front of the phone there is a 5MP camera. Both cameras come with flash. The battery on the phone is 3,300mAh. There is a fingerprint reader on the back of the phone below the camera.
This is one mid-ranger we are big fans of given Xiaomi’s competitive pricing.
