Huawei Matebook X

Huawei has just launched the Huawei Mate Book X Pro at the MWC 2018. Huawei Mate Book X Pro brings a lot of features to the table. It is the most capable MacBook killer to date. For starters, Huawei Mate Book X Pro has a 13.9 inch 3K 10-point touchscreen.

The display is the main talking point of Huawei Mate Book X Pro. The crisp, nearly bezel-less display with 91% screen-to-body ratio is really a treat to lay your eyes on. Since there was no space left on the screen, Huawei decided to place the camera under the F5 key. This is also a neat feature as the periscope camera addresses privacy concerns of users. The screen is crisp with a resolution of 3000 X 2000. The contrast is really good at 1:1500 and the screen is bright at 450 nits.

The laptop weighs a decent 1.33kg with a body that is 14.6mm thin. The Matebook X is capable of running for 12 hours on battery with 1080p playback. Matebook X is powered by Intel i7-8550U processor with options of 8GB or 16GB RAM. Huawei has also collaborated with Dolby to feature Dolby ATMOS sound system. The Matebook X has 2 USB-C ports, 1 USB-A port and a headphone jack.

We are really pleased with Huawei’s efforts but a bit skeptical about how the camera would perform in real world application. For now, this is one beast that is waiting to be unleashed.
