Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s | Beats The iPhone X

Mi Mix was the first mass release of a bezel-less phone in the world. Now, Xiaomi has launched a newer version of it; the Mi Mix 2s. Xiaomi is known for its innovative products and the Mi Mix 2s is no exception as we reveal all the fascinating details about it.

Mi Mix 2s is not your regular ‘S’ version of a flagship. The phone comes with a sleeker design and fresh reformed design queues. There are new features such as, an all-new dual-camera setup, improved processor, and wireless charging.

The phone comes with a 5.99-inch FHD Plus display with a ratio of 18:9. The IPS panel covers almost the whole front of the phone with a small thin bezel at the bottom that supports the 5MP selfie camera. The selfie snapper has an aperture of f/2.0 and remains unchanged from the pervious version.

At the rear, there is a dual camera setup. The cameras are both 12MP with OIS. One camera module is a regular one with f/1.8 aperture, while the other one supports a telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4. Dual Pixel tech is there for quick autofocus, while the multi-frame NR reduces noise in the photos.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s now has wireless charging for its 3,400mAh battery. Wireless charging wasn’t present in the previous models. This makes it the world’s only phone with ceramic body which supports wireless charging. The phone is powered by an all new Snapdragon 845 chipset, which has incremental performance improvements over the Snapdragon 835. The phone lacks any sort of IP rating and has no headphone jack which is a big bummer.

The phone comes in three variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM 256GB storage. The phone starts at $530 and goes up to $640.

Xiaomi claimed it is competing with Apple iPhone X. It is only a matter of time that we see how well it does in real life tests.
